Sunday morning light filtered gently through the chapel windows as the community gathered in quiet expectation in their Chapel. On June 14, 2026, the bishop crossed the threshold of the Monastery of Mary the Queen, greeted with reverence and joy by the Prioress and her sisters.
At the altar, he was joined by Fr. Jimmy Marchionda, OP, and Fr. Donald Goergen, OP, whose presence reflected the deep bonds of the Dominican family. With the attentive assistance of Fr. Dominic Vahling, the liturgy unfolded in a harmony of prayer, silence, and praise.
For the sisters, the morning became a renewed reminder of the Church’s embrace—an encounter of grace that lingers like incense long after the final blessing.
