Discernment Weekend for Young Women

Come and See

February 20th through 22nd

Come and See Weekend

There are moments when God invites us to step into a deeper silence — a silence where His voice becomes clearer, gentler, and more personal than we ever expected. If you have felt this longing, we warmly welcome you to a Come and See Weekend at the Dominican Monastery of Mary the Queen.

This weekend retreat offers young women a chance to experience our contemplative Dominican life from within: to pray with us, to rest in God’s presence, and to listen for the quiet movements of grace.

What Is a Come and See Weekend?

A Come and See Weekend is a simple, peaceful opportunity to spend time inside our enclosure and share in the rhythm that shapes our life. It is not a commitment, only an invitation to encounter God more deeply and to discern His call with clarity.

During the weekend, you will:

  • Join the community for the Liturgy of the Hours
  • Spend time in Eucharistic adoration and silent prayer
  • Attend Mass with the nuns
  • Experience the beauty of Dominican study
  • Share meals in the monastic rhythm
  • Meet some of the nuns and hear their vocation stories
  • Enjoy quiet time for reflection and personal prayer
  • Ask questions in a gentle, unhurried setting

This is a time to breathe, to listen, and to let God speak to your heart.
